Do I qualify for the First Home Owner Grant?
The First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) is a $10,000 grant designed to assist eligible first homebuyers in purchasing a new home.
However there are several requirements to be eligible such as:
• The home must be brand new
• The home must be worth less than $750,000
• You must be over 18
• Both you and your partner must have never held a relevant interest in any residential property in Australia
• You or the person you are buying with must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

How much can I borrow?
Determining how much money you can borrow to purchase a house depends on a wide range of factors. These include your income, current loan commitments, living expenses etc.

New Incentives For First Home Buyers in NSW

You may have heard that on July 1st, 2017, the NSW government implemented a new comprehensive package designed to assist first home buyers wanting to enter the housing market.

What is included and how will it assist first home buyers in NSW?
The two major components include:
1. Stamp Duty Changes
As of July 1st, 2017, stamp duty will be abolished for first home buyers for all homes below $650,000. There will also be stamp duty relief for homes up to $800,000.
2. First Home Owners Grant Changes
The NSW government will provide first home buyers with a $10,000 grant to builders of new homes up to $750,000 in value and purchasers of new homes of up to $600,000 in value.
